I've been using 5/16 smooth rod instead of 8mm with impressive results, thanks to its lower cost and greater availability. Given that many machines are designed specifically for LM8UU linear bearings, I modified the [MightyNozzle design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2202854) to meet my requirements.
