LM8LUU/LM8UU Bearing Removal and Installation Tool
thingiverse
I needed a tool to remove bearings from mounts, housings, etc., so I created one that presses bearings out of (and back into) mounts, housings, etc. The X-carriage mounts on my A8 were holding me back; I wanted to replace one with a wider idler pulley that was wider than the original. Pressing out the LM8LUU bearing from the original mount was quick work. I had already installed a replacement bearing into the new mount, but this tool would've also worked well to install it. A few light taps on the plastic rod with a small hammer were all it took. I designed this for the LM8LUU bearing in an Anet A8 X-carriage mount. You can adjust the OpenSCAD file for other sizes; I recommend sizing the rod 1 mm under your bearing's outer diameter and the cylinder 1 mm over. You should be able to print them at the same time.
