Overview: A Custom Case for Buck Converter with LED Display. The buck converter can be easily paired with this case, which is readily available on Amazon. The case has pre-drilled holes for key components and adjustable parts. Design: The case design accommodates 3D printing with a 0.4mm nozzle and features a three-layer wall and top/bottom layer count. Walls are 1.2mm thick, while the top casing has six layers of infill. The tolerances allow for a snug fit, approximately 0.2mm, making assembly and disassembly easy. This provides a light press fit. Printing/Assembly: The case can be printed using PLA, but PETG or ABS is recommended if high load applications require a heatsink attachment. Heatsink should be attached after the case is assembled. A small foam pad under the board eliminates slop caused by tolerances. Bonding the casing together is essential when mounting upside down as press fit may not hold. Note the polarity and flow direction before bonding the casing together.
