LM2596 / LM2596S Buck Converter Case with 2020 Mount and Power Switch
thingiverse
A sleek and easy to print housing for an LM2596(S) buck converter, which I use to power my LED light strip on my Ender 3 (it converts the 24V down to 12V). Besides the design, the main difference compared to other projects here is that it includes a power switch. The case itself should be all plug and play, except for two screws (M2 or M2.5) used to secure the top. Simply slide the case into the profile of the 2020 extrusion (e.g. on the Ender 3, just remove the plastic cap and slide the mount into the extrusion - no need for screws or any other material). LM2596 / LM2596S come in a variety of sizes and form factors. I've left some extra space that should accommodate slightly bigger boards (but you may have to adjust the two pins that hold the board in place). I use this version of the LM2596S: http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/Ff96VRzm and a small power switch: http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/K9L1vzn6 If you enjoy this design and are looking for a case for your Raspberry Pi Zero, you might like this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3572030 Enjoy and please share your creations.
