A compact housing designed to safeguard and secure an LM2596 DC-DC voltage converter. The internal screw posts are suitable for M2 6mm bolts, which may require a 1/16th drill bit for precise installation. Printing in PETG offers several advantages, including flexible clips that hold the lid securely in place and enhanced interlayer adhesion. A revised version of the case was created using Fusion 360, adding an additional mounting ear to ensure stability by securing it at two points, thus minimizing twisting. Several other improvements were also implemented during this redesign. A .3MF file has been added, featuring a variant of the case with alternative mounting hole positions specifically tailored for LM2596 modules that have flipped holes compared to the original design, which seems to be a common issue.
