LM12UU PTFE Linear Bearing
thingiverse
This is a high-performance PTFE linear bearing based on romanz' LM10UU linear bearing design.\r\n\r\nInternal Diameter with PTFE Tubing: 12mm (standard)\r\nInternal Diameter without PTFE Tubing: 14mm\r\nOuter Diameter: 21mm at each end and 20.5mm in the middle\r\nLength: 30mm\r\n\r\nNeed 6 pieces of 4mm O.D. x 2mm I.D. PTFE tubing, each 25mm long. A chamfer on the ends is helpful.\r\n\r\nThe part has a nominal 4.10mm diameter for PTFE tubing and features a 0.08mm clearance from the PTFE to the linear rod on both sides.\r\n\r\nAs with any bearing, there's a break-in period. After inserting the PTFE tubes into the housing, slide over the guide rod and work in the tubes by pressing in all directions. Make sure you slide the PTFE bearing back and forth over the linear rod to break in the PTFE tubing.\r\n\r\nPTFE tubing at 4.0mm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RF7777\r\n\r\n**Suggestions from other PTFE Linear Bearing users and designers:**\r\n1. Ensure belts are not too tight, as this can cause the PTFE to break down and shed off.\r\n2. Confirm your bearings are aligned and the carriage slides smoothly.\r\n3. Insert 1.75mm filament inside the PTFE tube before assembling into housing to reduce compression of the PTFE tubes.\r\n4. Apply a little 3in1 lubricant or Super Lube on the linear rods.\r\n
