10x Varleni Skirmishers 32mm Scale (Fits 25mm Bases)Includes Supported and Unsupported Models The Varleni are smaller individuals that are very quick and athletic, able to cross distances and unfavourable terrain very quickly. They have deadly accuracy for ranged weaponry and are able to tame many of the savage beasts of the Sunbask Empires lands. Due to their small size compared to others of the Empire the great beasts dont see them as a threat, enabling them to live amongst the beasts and bond with them over time. They are also expert hunters as many creatures underestimate them and dont notice a Varleni hunting party before its too late. This way of life has made them rather savage in their ways and are not as 'civilised' as some of the other races of the empire prefering a more primal natural way of living. They live further out of the cities in the deserts and along the rivers using fishing camps and scout towers, living off the land they have become very self sufficiant but often trade excess fish and animal skins back to the cities for metals and gems to empower their weapons and tools. This serves the Sovereigns well as they make perfect scouts out in the wilds, using signal fires if enemy races start to approach the empire as well as providing more food for the fish eating races of the Sunbask Cities.
