Escher's work, and while browsing through a book of his stuff that I've had since childhood, it suddenly struck me that I have access to computers, printers, and other technical tools that can bring concepts to life. So, I set out to recreate Escher's plane-tiling lizards in a new way. What we've created is really impressive! We duplicated the lizard structure, then smoothed out the corners into curves, making sure to match deeper curves at the points where the parts meet. And it worked perfectly! 3D printing once again proves itself to be an amazing technology that allows me to create things that would have previously been confined to the realm of imagination and dreams.
