This cap may be slightly too snug to slip easily onto your intended drain pipe, as it was for me. I highly recommend increasing the size by 1% for a secure fit or smoothing out the interior with sandpaper until the desired fit is achieved. A replacement cap designed specifically for 1.5 inch (ID) thin-wall pipes that measure approximately 1.67 inch in outside diameter.
