A Revolutionary Live Trap for Mice Unveiled: Enhanced Design Now Available. An innovative live trap design has been revamped to make manufacturing more streamlined (Release B). The key concept behind this updated model is centered around effortless bait loading and a smooth, translational motion for closing the trapdoor. Easy opening and secure closure of the gate behind the bait are also crucial features. Moreover, the trapdoor can be easily opened. Notes: Tension spring and compression spring calculations are still pending to ensure safe functionality. Theoretical thread values have been modeled without considering clearance. As this design has not yet transitioned into a prototype, no guarantee is made regarding its desired function. The bait is absent from the model. The cage housing could be crafted from an extruded aluminum profile, machined to perfection. Sheet metal components might be fabricated from anodized steel. The socket could be constructed from wood or plastic. Springs should be fashioned from spring steel, while other machined parts can be made from brass. Users are free to add holes, slots, or grooves to the housing according to their imagination. A unique variant of this design can be achieved by omitting the tension springs, resulting in a new version that relies solely on gravity for closing the trapdoor. Models are provided in STEP-files (.stp) of complete assemblies (Rel. A and Rel. B), as well as all native files (Rel. A), including (.prt) and (.asm), within a (.7z)-folder, tailored for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«.
