I laser engraved a live edge sign that had a curled edge, requiring a solution for drilling eye hooks into it. To achieve this, I developed an idea involving a sliding clamp system. This design allows the clamp to slide against the flattest edge of the sign while gripping the curl with its other side. The system is highly adaptable and can be easily modified to accommodate various workpieces. Two versions are available: a simple, squared design and a more rounded, futuristic-looking alternative. I'm hopeful that this innovation will benefit others working with curved or irregularly shaped materials.
