Livarnolux LED light sensor cover
thingiverse
In the Netherlands, occasionally the Aldi supermarket puts these nice LED lights with motion detection up for sale. I fastened two of these lights onto the garage door (which slides upward horizontally). So when the garage door opens, the lights angle downward, and when it's closed, they aim horizontally into the garage. When I'm inside the garage and the door is shut, the lights shine directly at me. Since this makes them overly intense, I decided to design a small cover that would block the sensor whenever the door closes. Printing Details Printer: Original Prusa i3 Rafts: Not Needed Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.20 mm Infill Density: 20% Post-Print Handling Do not take off the cover or strip after printing! Stick flexible threads to the cover and strip in the extruded grooves. I employed acetone along with scrap ABS plastic to secure the threads into place. Afterward, detach the cover and strip when the glue has dried.
