littleBits keytar
thingiverse
A total overhaul of the littleBits keytar, James Hetfield-style. Meticulously laser-cut from five sheets of 3mm wood and a single sheet of 3mm acrylic, all securely held together by sturdy M6 nuts and bolts. The wooden components were carefully super-glued to create a seamless, high-quality finish. I've used the free Lobster font in my design, but feel free to experiment with different aesthetics to find one that suits your unique style :). To fully experience the keytar's capabilities, try connecting it to large speakers instead of relying on the small, low-quality speaker included.
