Little PI in Big PI
thingiverse
A colleague created this design on a whiteboard, and I brought it to life in Sketchup - it turned out even better than expected, but could benefit from some adjustments. Does anyone else notice that white filament accentuates every ripple and flaw in 3D printed designs? The darker colors always seem smoother to me. Print Settings: Printer: PowerSpec Ultra 3D and NewMatter Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .15 Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this design in different colors, rotated them, and assembled the pieces together. Some minor filing may be necessary to get them to click into place - it's a firm fit. There's also a thin plate between the Big Pi's legs that should snap off easily.
