http://www.elliotchanner.co.uk LITTLE OWL, Bronze, Edition of 12, 29cm x 15cm x 9cm Born in 1989 in Staffordshire, Elliot showcased a passion for wildlife and art from a young age. Dubbed one of the 'young stars' of the international art fair circuit by Belgravia magazine, he draws inspiration from the animal sculptures of Rembrandt Bugatti and Antoine-Louis Barye. Capturing the essence and elegance of his subjects, Elliot focuses on their defining features while allowing spontaneity to shape the majority of each sculpture. Primarily self-taught, Elliot finds creative fuel in the countryside, initially in Staffordshire and Derbyshire, but now travels extensively throughout the UK to observe and photograph animals in their natural environments. Alongside large-scale sculptures, he also creates more manageable versions by scaling down larger animals. With a focus on British and international wildlife, Elliot's clay masterpieces are then expertly cast in bronze.
