I expanded upon this great design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:775539 Added the whites of the eyes, feet, and "feathers" on the head and wings. Also changed the top of the owl's "horns" and beak. No glue needed, the parts pressure fit. I had to do a little filing to remove some rough edges.
