Although our business may not be thriving, we always discover fascinating and enjoyable aspects in 3D printing. I experimented with printing PLA wood and found that the standard surface finish of PLA is too sleek for pigment paint to adhere well. To overcome this, I applied color directly to the model, using water-based pigments for red and blue, which reminded me of Chinese ink painting, while oil-based black gave it a cartoon animation feel. This was my first attempt; I expect to improve my technique with practice.
