Please see Print Settings for optimal print settings

I would greatly appreciate some feedback and I'm open to suggestions.

Original Masterspool by RichRap: thing

Das Filament made a great remix called Little MasterSpool: thing

I then made a remix of the Little MasterSpool called Little MasterSpool Roller where I added rings for the roller type spool holder: thing

Filaments used for featured prints:

Prusa Orange PETG + Prusa Silver PLA + Spool of Das Filament Tom's 3D Infinity Blue

Prusa Orange PETG + Prusa Silver PLA

Das Filament Tom's 3D Infinity Blue + Cheap Generic White PLA

Real filament Translucent Red

Das Filament Tom's 3D Infinity Blue

Having received some feedback and remixes of my Roller version, I wanted to have a go at making something from scratch. So I kept all that in mind and included some features I wanted to add.

My Goals:

Use MasterSpool, Das Filaments Little MasterSpool principals and ideas.

Lightweight and minimal filament used to print it.

Close to the average spool sizes.

Reasonable print time.

Simplify options for labels.

Can be used with more spool holder solutions.

I want it to be somewhat modular so that things can be made for it, such as different label shapes for example.

I found that the Little MasterSpool liked to open when filament was on it, so I wanted to address that.

What I think I managed to achieve:

I kept the tri-fork concept that Das Filament used.

I integrated the droplet symbol from the MasterSpool.

Having multiple parts that are also small means you can use small bits of filament such as the end of a spool or even use samples to make up the spool.

The sticker panel and bushing are modular extras to print.

The bushing is slightly elevated at the center, so as to act as a washer when up against a flat surface, like there is on my A8 spool holder.

The small label panel can fit in one of 3 locations on each side of the spool.

A combination of the design and print settings result in a strong overall print.

It's quite light at around 55g total for the assembled part 1 and 2.

The parts locking mechanism is reversed so that the presence of filament promotes the spool to stay closed.

The parts locking mechanism actually lock if the tolerances were tighter.

200mm and 170mm versions. There was a request for a smaller than 200mm. Even though a full refill won't fit, I included it anyway as it might be useful for smaller refills or winding other filament/samples up.

~Weight (Depends on print settings)

200mm Part 1 25.0g

200mm Part 2 30.0g

200mm Sticker 4.0g

9mm Bushing 4.5g

170mm Part 1 22.0g

170mm Part 2 27.0g

170mm Sticker 2.5g
