Little Little Free Library
pinshape
A tiny, shareable library for book lovers, made possible by 3D printing technology. Print one for yourself or gift it to a neighbor who shares books through Little Free Libraries. This little library can also serve as a decorative bookend, a miniature library for dollhouses, or a charming storage container for jewelry and small trinkets. Modeled at a scale of 1 inch, this design is inspired by plans available on the official Little Free Library website. This model is divided into separate parts to facilitate easy printing on home 3D printers, allowing you to mix and match colors when creating your library. Once all the pieces are printed, assembly is a breeze with your preferred adhesive. Two files are provided for printing the roof of the library: one that can be printed in a single piece, and another that allows you to print each panel separately. Additionally, two post design files are available for printing: one features a flat bottom for tabletop use or placement inside a local Little Free Library, while the other includes a stake for ground-level placement. Little Free Library is a registered trademark of Little Free Library Ltd., used with their permission. Instructions The components of this library were printed on a MakerBot Z18 and a MakerBot Replicator 2. However, I encountered issues printing the librarybox.stl file on the Z18, but it printed successfully on the Replicator 2 without any problems. Users with other printers may need to use support material during printing. After your pieces are printed, assemble them together and secure with your preferred adhesive.
