Hello antjunkie, Welcome to my latest project, the Little Formicarium. Based on my first project there is a formicarium, which can be expanded at will. This is achieved by the modular design. New elements can easily be connected to the existing system. Mainly the project is intended for smaller ant species such as Pheidole. But there are also XXL chambers and thus the system can be used without problems even for larger ant species. I invested a good 30 hours in this project. But I'm not done yet. Frequently Asked Questions Can I print the objects with a nozzle of 0.4 mm? You can print all parts with a Nozzle of 0.4 mm. Of course it is also possible to take a finer Nozzle to achieve a better result. Do the items need to be printed with support? All items can be printed without support. Nevertheless, I recommend at least for all adapters and connections to print support material. No water comes out of the water dispenser in the ant's arena. Make sure you have a piece of cotton wool positioned exactly as shown in the pictures. I would like to have a new object, can you create one? I am always happy when I can help others. In the future I will continue to work on the project and add new items again and again. You should therefore look over and over again. Can I use Acrylic Glass in conjunction with a lid? Yes, that is possible. The Acrylic Glass should then not be thicker than 1 mm! What settings do you print with? Usually I print with a Nozzle 0.4 mm / 50 mm / s / 15% Infill.
