Littlebird helicopter from Battlefield 2 - a mix of Sketchup, Netfabb and Blender was used to make this model printable, which has already been printed and I will upload photos once it is trimmed/sanded etc. Its slightly bigger than the Airwolf despite being for the same size electronics, mostly due to its overall shape. However, it ends up being approximately the same weight as the Airwolf. The front cockpit was printed with 2 perimeters, 2 top layers and 1 bottom layer, using skirt and generated supports from Simplify. This results in removing maybe 60% of the print as most of it is support material. The body was printed tail end first to reduce the need for printing supports (if you print it wide end first, it will generate supports to hold the middle wall which you'll need to remove to fit the electronics). I used 2 perimeters with 0 top and bottom layers at a 0.25mm layer height, and it came out perfectly. The boom was printed with only 1 perimeter and 0 top and bottom layers - the boom is in two pieces and can be glued together or secured with tape, whichever you prefer. Machine guns and rocket pods were printed at a 0.25mm layer height; choose your walls to suit your required level of detail. They are located pretty centrally so weight distribution isn't much of an issue. Main rotor head and blades are for static display only - if you try to fly with them, well, you won't get very far. I did not print skids but I have included them. Windows will be next.
