For a newer and improved version on my own website, go to https://www.designuitinspiratie.nl/mini-vogelvoeder-tempel/. This is a compact bird feeder perfect for small birds. Inside, a dispenser holds bird seed. At first, I thought it was too small. Even tiny sparrows couldn't sit on it. So I considered printing this model 150% bigger. But after two days, they found a way to pick out the seeds in mid-air. After three days, some sparrows even managed to hold themselves to the base for a few seconds while eating from it. It's wonderful to see birds adapt to different situations. I've made many bird houses and feeders before, you know. Seeing them find ways to get food is never old. Also, mice are hilarious, with their amazing antics. If you think this Bird Feeder is too small, consider printing it 150%. Keep in mind that you'll need to use M6 nuts and threads instead of M4 when doing so. At 100% scale, the object stands about 160mm high. All parts are printed in PLA except for "dispenser mid VASE MODE NO BOTTOM.stl," which is printed in translucent PET-G. This part uses the "spiral outer contour mode" in Cura without a bottom (zero bottom layers). The other parts print normally with 20% infill and four wall, top, and bottom layers using a 0.4mm nozzle. No support material is required, and the parts are already positioned for printing. The roof parts are glued together, and I considered doing the same with the base parts and the white dispenser bottom but didn't. The base parts and pillars clicked into place so well that gluing wasn't necessary. Filling it up with new seed would be much easier if you did glue them, though. Here's what you'll need to make this bird feeder (printing at 100% scale): 1X M3x160mm threaded rod 2X M3 nut 1X tube of super glue Parts: 1. Base.stl (2 times) 2. Dispenser top.stl 3. Dispenser bottom.stl 4. Dispenser mid VASE MODE NO BOTTOM 0.4mm.stl 5. Nut holder bottom part A.stl 6. Nut holder bottom part B.stl 7. Nut holder top.stl (2 times) 8. Pillars.stl 9. Roof inside wedge.stl 10. Roof part.stl (2 times) 11. Roof top ring.stl If you have any questions or notice a mistake, feel free to ask!
