Little Bird Feeder Air Temple
thingiverse
This is a compact bird feeder for small birds.\r\nInside is a dispenser that can store bird seed.\r\n\r\nAt first glance, I thought it was too small. Even tiny sparrows cannot perch on it.\r\nSo I considered printing this model 150% larger. But after two days, they discovered a way to pluck the seeds from mid-air. After three days, some sparrows managed to grasp themselves to the base for a few seconds while eating from it. It's wonderful to see the birds in my garden adapt to different situations. I've built many constructions, birdhouses, and feeders in the past. Seeing them find ways to get to the food never gets old. The mice are also quite entertaining. Their antics are truly amazing.\r\n\r\nIf you find this Bird Feeder too small, consider printing it 150%. Keep in mind that you'll need to use M6 nuts and threads instead of M4 when doing so. At 100% scale, the object is approximately 160mm high.\r\n\r\nAll parts are printed in PLA except for the "dispenser mid VASE MODE NO BOTTOM.stl". This part is printed in translucent PET-G. It's printed using the "spiral outer contour mode" in Cura without a bottom (zero bottom layers). The other parts are printed normally with 20% infill and 4 wall, top & bottom layers with a 0.4mm nozzle. Support material is not required, and the parts are already positioned correctly for printing.\r\n\r\nThe roof parts are glued together, and I wanted to do the same with the base parts and the white dispenser bottom but didn't. The base parts and pillars fit so well together that gluing wasn't necessary.\r\nIt would be much easier to fill it up with new seed if you do glue them together.\r\n\r\nTo make this thing (printing it at 100% scale):\r\n\r\n1X M3x160mm threaded rod\r\n2X M3 nut\r\n1X tube of super glue\r\n\r\n2X base.stl\r\n1X dispenser top.stl\r\n1X dispenser bottom.stl\r\n1X dispenser mid VASE MODE NO BOTTOM 0.4mm.stl\r\n1X nut holder bottom partA.stl\r\n1X nut holder bottom partB.stl\r\n2X nut holder top.stl\r\n1X pillars.stl\r\n1X roof inside wedge.stl\r\n2X roof part.stl\r\n1X roof top ring.stl\r\n\r\nIf you have any questions, feel free to ask.\r\nIf you think I made a mistake or forgot something, please let me know.
