Little bathtub tug boat (visual benchy)
thingiverse
Growth for my bathtub fleet. A little tugboat. I couldn't shake off a great 3D picture of tugs that I'd seen, and it stuck with me. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I saw it. So I tried to recreate it from memory. The model was based on this vision. Even if my boats aren't perfect, you can still use them for quality control purposes. I drew two versions: one with an open cabin and another with a closed one. The highlight of the open version is a variation of Larry the Engineer (Makerbot) as captain. If you plan to use it on land, you don't have to worry about anything. However, if it needs to float, the fuselage must be printed with two different fill densities. Otherwise, the boat will be too light. Bottom: 40-50% infill Top: 10% infill The models in the pictures are printed at 70% of their original size. Update (21.01.2018) Minor bugs were fixed thanks to Melchiorus. See what might come next on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vandragon_de Support me! Although drawing boats and bringing them to life is a lot of fun, it takes a lot of time to research and draw. Especially 1:1000 scale models are very time-consuming. So I wanted to see if there are any dear enthusiasts among you who appreciate my work and support me a little bit.
