Growth for my bathtub fleet, a miniature tugboat that brings my imagination to life. I couldn't shake off the memory of an incredible 3D image I once saw featuring a tugboat and its crew. Unfortunately, I've lost track of where I first encountered it, so I decided to recreate it in my own mind's eye. The resulting model was born from this concept. Even if my creations aren't perfect (far from it!), they can still be useful for quality control purposes. I've drawn two versions: one with an open cabin and another with a closed one. In the open version, I've incorporated a playful twist - a miniature Larry the Engineer (Makerbot) as captain, standing proudly at the helm. As you might expect, if you want to use this tug on land, there's no need to worry about a thing. However, if it needs to float, the fuselage must be printed with two different infill levels to prevent it from becoming too light. To achieve a balance between weight and printability, I recommend using 40-50% infill for the bottom layer and 10% infill for the top layer. The models you see in the pictures have been printed at 70% of their original size.
