A 3D printer has printed a lantern body with six photos using lithophane technology. The upper part is freely rotating on the base. A simple LED lamp was chosen as the light source, which is inserted into the center of the case. https://youtu.be/jTT6-Gp8Nf4 The photos themselves were made using an online resource: http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/. The photos are prepared in advance with a 1:1.61 aspect ratio (golden section), for example, 1500 x 2415 pixels. The size of the printed photo on the 3D printer should be around 80 x 129 mm. On the website, we specify the settings: Settings Model Settings: Maximum Size (MM) = 129; others - default. Image settings: Positive Image = on; others - default. The image must be printed vertically to support it, I have set up two supporting triangles at the edges (files "Triangle support-02"). If your printer has a movable Y-axis table (like my Ender 3), it's better to place the model along this axis to minimize shifts in height. It's best to print the image with natural-colored plastic.
