Lithophane RGB Light
thingiverse
This is a lithophane lantern designed to hold 122mm diameter and 80mm height lithophanes. A ESP32 module hosts a web server that configures color and PWM LED strips wrapped around a central pole in the lantern. The base and cap are crafted from turned mahogany wood. I built the circuit on a breadboard, powering it with a standard 12V LED power supply. The heatsink on the LM317 is crucial as it gets extremely hot without one. The code for the ESP32 can be found at github.com/stonetronics/rgbLitho. This project makes an excellent wedding gift; feel free to replicate and share it with others.
