Lithophane Picture Frame
thingiverse
I designed a lithophane box, which can be called a picture frame or whatever you like. It is intended to have LED strips placed at the bottom to backlight the lithophanes above them. Additionally, it is set up to hold a one-way mirror so that when the lights are off, it appears as a regular mirror, and when the LEDs come on, the lithophanes become visible instantly. The box features a holder and hole on the bottom right where you can stick an micro-USB to USB female adapter to plug into the LEDs, allowing them to run off most any phone charger. The lid should fit snugly and hold the lithophanes securely, even if you choose not to use the top glass. In the process of printing, Cura estimated 20 hours for the box, but I will update this information once everything is printed and assembled, along with links to Amazon for the hardware inside. I just want to ensure that it works as planned. Feel free to take and modify this design to suit your needs.
