Lithophane photo frame
thingiverse
Lithophane frame with back light. My satin black-painted frame can, of course, be printed in a preferred color. If the back cover is printed white, it will allow light to pass through and illuminate the background. The 4:3 version will fit a picture that measures 140x105mm, while the 16:9 version will accommodate a picture that measures 150x85mm. I use M3 knurl insert nuts (soldering iron required to "melt" them in place) combined with M3x12mm countersunk screws. A self-tapping screw can also do the job. Glue the picture and support feet into position. To convert an image to a lithophane, go to: http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ In the converter, adjust the image settings to "Positive image". If your picture is 16:9 ratio, set the model size to 150 in the converter. If your picture is 4:3 ratio, set the model size to 140 in the converter.
