Lithophane nightlight base
thingiverse
This curved base is specifically designed to accommodate GE incandescent nightlights (#52194) and support lithophanes created with "Image to Lithophane" (http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/) generated using the outer curve mode. The plan is to glue your printed lithophane onto the curved base, and the C-shaped adaptor fits snugly in the groove at the base of the GE nightlight, making it an easy-to-make nightlight lithophane. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: It's only 4 mm tall, so it's a quick print. When printing lithophanes, I print them vertically so the X-Y axes produce the gray scale (best resolution). The curved mode provides the best base support for vertical printing. Post-Printing To attach the lithophane (printed separately) to the base, I used #4 Acrylic solvent cement. Superglue would probably work too. How I Designed This Designed in 123D Design using a micrometer to measure the GE nightlight.
