Lithophane Nightlight Base
thingiverse
This design was created to securely hold an outer curved lithophane within a standard nightlight. Most basic nightlights typically feature a lightguard or shield that snaps into place. In contrast, this design replaces the need for such a component by snapping into place and securely holding a curved lithophane. When printing this design, I recommend using 100% scale with at least 25% infill and a minimum of three walls. For the lithophane itself, users should visit http://3dp.rocks/lithophane and select Outer Curve, choosing default curvature settings before uploading their chosen photo. Note that before creating a lithophane, it is essential to read up on its construction process, as many individuals inadvertently create images that appear as photo-negatives when illuminated. Instead, the goal is for the image to resemble a negative when unlit and a positive image when backlit.
