I fell head over heels for this Lithophane photo box https://lithophanemaker.com/Lithophane%20Light%20Box.html, but I didn't want to hook it up with a light bulb and socket. This LCD tube bulb was the perfect solution that came to me. For the hole, I set it at 10mm to fit snugly into the sleeve I crafted. Feel free to use and modify as you see fit!
