Lithophane Lamp G9 Socket Adapter
thingiverse
I printed this lithophane lamp: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2841252 It's great but the hole in the bottom was too big for my G9 socket, so I created this adapter. I've printed it in PLA, and any material should work just fine. To install the socket, feed the mains lead through the bottom hole in the adapter, then solder or join the mains lead with the socket's wires, securing them with heatshrink tubing or electrical tape. Pull the mains lead as much as possible while keeping pressure on the hole, push the wires into the adapter, and screw the socket to the adapter using M3 screws. At this point, you can simply push the assembly up from underneath the lamp. In my case, it sat firmly in place, but depending on your printer's accuracy, it might be loose. If that happens, there are a couple of M3 holes on the bottom of the adapter where you can screw it to the bottom of the lamp for extra stability.
