Lithophane Lamp
thingiverse
I've made a few of these custom lithophane USB lamps for friends and family, and they all loved them. You can print the four lithophanes and the base in one go by merging the parts into a single model. Alternatively, you can print the parts separately and glue them together. I've uploaded a small cover strip to help hide the gap between the lithophanes, just like I did in the pictures. To get started, you'll need: Four different lithophanes. I used http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ to create mine. Make sure your images have a 1:1 ratio and select "outer curve" model on the website. Set your model settings to maximum size 100mm, thickness 3mm, and border 3mm. Also, choose "positive image" in the image settings. This will give you the best results. In addition to lithophanes, you'll need: A mini USB LED with a magnet. I used this one: http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/ctuUDQgp (affiliate link), but you can also find it on Amazon DE at https://amzn.to/2OJUoHs or Amazon US at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078739HRL/. You'll also need some superglue and a 1mm zip tie, width 2.5mm (optional).
With this file you will be able to print Lithophane Lamp with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Lithophane Lamp.
