UPDATED: The Caddy has been upgraded to feature pegs in the corners and holes in the cap pieces, allowing caps to snap into place seamlessly without glue. This makes it incredibly easy to position them exactly as needed, even if you still choose to use a small amount of adhesive. Use CenterA with a USB-powered LED strip: a budget-friendly way to achieve bright, even lighting for permanent displays plugged into a power source. The back of the display routes and secures power, limiting lithophane usage to just three units. This is the exact LED strip I used. Use CenterB with battery-powered string lights: an affordable and portable option that may not be as bright in well-lit rooms but offers a unique parlor trick for carrying around the display like a glowing artifact. With this setup, all four sides can be used to showcase lithophanes. This is the set of lights I used. I removed the front cover and sanded away any hinges or latches to minimize width, as this usage doesn't require security or water resistance. If you prefer alternative lighting solutions, consider using a small handheld LED lantern or placing one on top of a lamp. Simply use the bare Baseplate file or omit the bottom piece entirely. Once you have a beautiful lithophane display on your mantel or dresser, you'll need a way to store additional lithophanes that doesn't involve a precarious pile or repurposed cardboard box. That's why I designed a companion caddy with matching styling that can hold up to thirteen 90mm x 90mm x 3mm lithophanes.
