Lithophane Box

This custom lithophane box was crafted to allow for effortless swapping of the lithophane itself. A durable front panel is securely attached using a set of old desktop computer screws, which I happened to have on hand. The guide holes in the 3D model were precision-drilled to fit snugly around the width of the screws, enabling them to tap neatly into the PLA material. The base and remote holder are firmly glued to the main body of the box. Although there are guide holes for the feet, the remote holder was an afterthought and requires manual placement. A striking lithophane image was created online at http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/. The physical print measures 150mm x 80mm with a 10mm border, while the digital image used has dimensions of 608px x 352px. Any image with a similar width-to-height ratio should work perfectly. The secondary color in the lithophane was added using transparent colored plastic, carefully cut out with an Exact-0 blade.
