Lithophane Bevelled LED Lighted Frame

See my make for decent photos. If you use this excellent Lithophane maker, you can print any image in while PLA and it's (mostly) invisible until you flip the switch! Just use the default options, choose the "No Border and Printing Stand" option https://lithophanemaker.com/Framed%20Lithophane.html - You need to leave a 2mm gap around the outside of the image you're going to use and make it square before uploading. Note the print orientation is supposed to be the bed moving along the length of the file and it is NOT supposed to be printed flat on the bed for best results - that's why I like the frame option the website generates. I tend to use a brim as well to make it really stick to the bed as I get scared printing tall, thin models! :) Use a 0.12mm line height for the white picture and a line width of just 0.4mm! Brilliant video guide on it here https://youtu.be/k35R3Fur6tk If you get any black spots on the image when it's lighted, they are probably just blobs you need to pick off! I designed this frame to be super-easy to print - but you do have to glue sections together. You can buy these Micro-USB sockets to wire in and pretty much any switch and LED strip will work with it. I'd advise getting the LEDs and switch etc fitted BEFORE gluing everything together. I rough-sanded all the surfaces and I used Gorilla Glue (the foaming stuff). 2-part epoxy would work too - but tends to be runnier. There are two bevel options depending on your preference and there's different back options if you wanted to wall mount or didn't want the stand. I printed all the parts in 0.2mm resolution - except the front frame - where I used 0.12mm to get better detail. The sample Madelorian image is from here https://www.deviantart.com/captain-kingsman16/art/The-Mandalorian-and-The-Child-Baby-Yoda-2-PNG-860322830 - I remove the background from images I want to use (if it hasn't already been done), then I crop it to where I want it (and make it square), then I expand the canvas a bit all around the outside and make the background white. I use Photoshop, but you could use an online tool or even do it in Paint or PowerPoint!
