This is a lamp holder to backlight a lithophane. I purchased the Strala cord set and needed something to hold it behind the lithophane. I decided to invert the light bulb in order to get the light to fully illuminate the lithophane evenly. Also the bulb is an LED and came as a set with the cord, the bulb is IKEA RYET LED bulb E12 200 lumen.

Printing: All of my print settings are below. This holder is sturdy enough as is and I put it at 40% infill because the print time increase was marginal vs 10% infill and I figured rigidity was important.

Set up:
For an E12 sized Fixture (Strala):
For E12 you need the Round Bulb Holder Insert to be printed. Once printed place the round bulb holder insert (file labeled accordingly) on the threaded Strala cord's bulb fixture end. Then place the Strala Cord inverted on the holder. Then screw in the appropriate bulb on the cord and place the lithophane in front at the desired distance. See photos for more detail.

For a E26 sized Fixture(Standard 60w fixtures):
Once printed place the fixture end of the cord inverted on the holder. Then screw in the appropriate bulb on the cord and place the lithophane in front at the desired distance. See photos for more detail.

Links to Ikea Cord set (E12 sized Strala):
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90371505/
Ikea Bulb (E12 size)
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20388731/

Printing Notes: Printed with brim for adhesion. I printed this upside down with the feet facing upward. You only need support for the lamp holder's lip, the feet do not need any supports due to their relatively low angle.

Design note: I originally intended on printing the design "Dowel Lamp With Low Poly Shade" found here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2492835 but then took the piece that holds a lamp fixture and borrowed it with some cutting to fit my design. Credit where credit is due on this lovely design.

Lithophane Notes:
I purposefully didn't include a lithophane guide since there are so many, but I used http://3dp.rocks/ and design advice given on RCLIFEON youtube channel to create mine.
Trick is to print slower for better results.

Print instructions

Category: Decor Print Settings

Printer Brand: Creality

Printer: Ender 3 Pro

Rafts: Doesn't Matter

Supports: Yes

Resolution: .2

Infill: 40

Filament: Hatchbox PLA White How I Designed This

Tinkercad
