Lithophane

This is a stunning example of a lithophane where an image leaps off the surface in 3D.\r\nI chose the poster from the iconic musical "The Tina Turner Musical", but any photograph would work just as well.\r\nContrast is key to making this type of art truly pop.\r\n\r\nUsing the open-sourced Lithophane converter: https://lithophanemaker.com made it easy to bring my design to life, and selecting a flat frame option gave me the look I wanted.\r\nI opted for the default settings, but there are plenty of options to customize your lithophane to suit your style.\r\n\r\nFor this project, I used gold silk PLA filament - a perfect choice to add an extra touch of elegance.\r\nInitially, I had a less-than-perfect fill pattern due to low fill density, but switching to 100% fill made all the difference in terms of contrast.\r\nNo support is needed if you apply a light coating of plate adhesive, and setting my slicer to 0.1mm ensured smooth results every time.
