Lithocup lampshade adapter
thingiverse
I made an adapter plate for the World Map Lithocup I created. The model can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/make/133080, based on a design by TimEdwards which is available at: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing/326214. Printing it required three attempts as the glow-in-the-dark Inland PLA filament shrinks excessively during the print process. Therefore, users who attempt to replicate this project will need to edit the SCAD file according to their specific requirements. The OpenSCAD website at www.openscad.org provides more information on how to modify the design for accurate prints. Due to the complexities involved in printing with this material, expect to require a couple of iterations before achieving the desired outcome. I would like to thank TimEdwards again for his excellent design. In preparation for my next project, I plan on making several additional adapter plates for use on a floor lamp. Unfortunately, an incident involving a rush to catch a flight following a power outage resulted in the breaking of four out of five lampshades seven or eight years ago. More pictures will be posted once they are available. -Joe
