I repurposed some old 18650 Lithium cells from a broken notebook battery pack and crafted small desk lamps for tinkering, soldering, and sewing purposes. Any LED will suffice, but I recommend ones with a power output of around 1W to 3W max. The one I used features a forward voltage of 3.1V and a forward current of 350mA.
