This lightweight, compact battery box suits Suzuki DRZ 400 S, SM, and E model motorcycles, specifically designed for Shorai's lithium-iron battery, LFX14A2-BS12 (210 CCA vs. ~70 CCA stock). This upgrade not only doubles the effective battery capacity but also reduces weight by approximately 6 lbs at a high chassis point. The new battery accounts for roughly 5+ lbs of this weight reduction, while the box itself sheds additional ounces and eliminates the need for foam to secure the battery. Enhancing the design's durability, it can be made slimmer but offers extra volume for impact absorption. In contrast to other high-capacity modifications with larger lead-acid batteries, this setup maintains space for wider rear tires. If you like the model, share your completed version and appreciate the design. For printing, use PLA on an Ultimaker at 200 microns fill and 100 microns skin with 20% infill. Walls are 1.2mm thick for strength. The model contains built-in support for overhangs that only needs to be snapped off post-printing.
