Lithium 18650 to 2xD Cell Adapter
thingiverse
I wanted a simple Adapter to be able to use a single 18650 Lithium battery (from a dead notebook battery) instead of two D-Cells. The only extra part needed is a 56mm piece of M6 threaded rod. Can be used for 2D or 4D Cell Maglites, Radios etc. If the battery compartment requires an odd number of D-cells, i have created a conductive D-cell Dummy https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4799770 that will help connect the Lithium cell adapter with the pos. and neg. pole. Assembly:Print the Adapter and screw in a 56mm piece of M6 threaded rod. The piece should stick out 2mm on the front of the adapter and works as the button (or nipple?) of the battery. The lithium battery is then simply inserted plus pole first into the adapter.
