Liquitex Paste Protector

Liquitex Paste Protector

I grew tired of my Liquitex modeling paste drying out over time. I realized placing plastic wrap directly onto the paste surface would keep it from hardening, but that could be clumsy (stuffing plastic into the container and pushing it onto the paste). This insert and variable-diameter rubber/TPU disks act like a piston head, squeezing air out. I recommend using plastic wrap on the flexible inserts (super-precise individuals can make cutouts that cover the disks exactly). [Exact modeling paste in question](http://www.liquitex.com/us/products/professional/gessoes-mediums-varnishes/modeling-paste/) The smaller flexible insert is for 8oz containers, the larger for 16oz. These fit in pastes purchased in October 2020. The container's opening is smaller than its inside diameter, hence the use of flexible filament for the "head" of the "piston."
