Liquid Soap Dispenser Limiter Ring
thingiverse
This is a very simple ring that snaps around the neck of a liquid soap dispenser in order to limit the distance it can travel. Basically you get less soap per pump. I'm sure it can help save money, but my main motivation is that I get way too much soap and half of it invariably ends up sliding off my hand and into the sink and I can't stand the waste. Parameters: clip ID - this is the inner diameter of the clip. Grab the calipers and measure the diameter of the neck to get this value. clip thickness - this is how hefty you want the ring to be. Too much and it'll snap, too little and it'll work its way off. You may want to fiddle around with this combined with infill to get it just right. I find around 2mm with a 20% infill to be perfect for my use. clip height - this is the limiting part. Start by measuring the height of the neck and then divide by 2, then work your way up or down depending on how well it works. These only take about 5 minutes to print and use around 10cm of filament, so you can afford to make several iterations until you get it perfect.
