Liquid Cooled Flashforge! Extruder + XYZ Nema Motors.
thingiverse
A work-in-progress project is underway to enhance a CNC machine, as its Nema 17 motors tend to get hot. The creator has scrap aluminum available and intends to produce liquid cooling blocks for the motors. This involves printing tank parts, water pumps, and necessary fittings. Despite facing challenges during the milling process, the user managed to make four cooling blocks for five Nema 17 motors, including a double-wide block for extruders. Updates are expected, with recent additions of pump files and dual print versions of pumps. Further instructions include printing tank edges with specific orientations, using 10% infill, adjusting print settings, and assembling the water blocks with screws and plexiglass. Stay tuned for more pictures and updates!
