LiPo stick-pack case for old Tamiya chassis
thingiverse
This custom case matches the exact dimensions of NiMH 6-cell stick packs and seamlessly fits old Tamiya chassis like M01 to M04, TA01, TA02, TA03, TA05, DF01, and many others. A video demonstration is available at https://youtu.be/fDcPimm8l_0 The battery used in this case is a Zippy Compact 2S 2200mAh 35C LiPo battery. While there are numerous "round" hardcase LiPo batteries on the market, most either do not fit properly (such as the Turnigy 4200) or are too long (like the LRP 3300 and 4600), making it difficult to secure them. This custom case addresses these issues, but with a compromise in battery capacity. The OpenSCAD source file for this case is included for users who want to customize or replicate it.
