NEW! I added a re-designed skid plate with a better fit for standard 1300mah batteries and slightly larger nubs on the corners to improve stability. For a smoother experience, use the model titled "lipo batt skid plate 2." I recommend adding an anti-slip material to prevent battery slippage or rotation. I've searched Thingiverse but haven't found many similar designs for quadcopter lipo skid plates. So, I created my own design with a standard 1300mah race quad battery in mind. Feel free to scale it down for a snugger fit around your battery if needed. When mounted, the round nubs should be at the bottom and make contact with the ground first during landings to provide extra protection. Print Settings: Printer: Fusematic Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Notes: I used 30% infill for a lighter weight but potentially weaker structure. However, if you land hard on this skid plate, consider it a sacrificial part designed to protect your lipo battery from damage.
