LiPo for Craftsman battery
cults3d
I scored a sweet deal on a battery-powered Craftsman drilling machine from someone, but it had one major flaw - the battery wouldn't hold a charge at all! I decided to repurpose some LiPo batteries that were collecting dust from my old drone projects. I opened up the 12V Craftsman battery and removed the cells inside, then wired in a XT60 connector so I could plug in one of my four-cell LiPo batteries (I actually used a 4-cell, 4000 mAh pack since it was what I had on hand - you can use an even bigger battery if you want!). Keep in mind that this means you'll no longer be able to use the Craftsman charger; instead, you'll need to pop the case open and plug into a proper charger for your new battery.
