lipo battery holder for Sk450 quad

This is a remix of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:297623 I wanted a custom battery holder that wouldn't slip around on velcro straps, while also keeping weight to a minimum. Cutting the original design in half and reassembling it provided two strap points without needing a top plate. The base of my quad is securely fastened using cable ties, which keeps everything in place. My Turnigy 2.2 2200mah 3 cell 11.1v battery works great with this custom holder. Measuring 34mm wide by 107mm long and 25mm high isn't relevant because there's no top plate required. Total size is now 115mm x 41.4mm x 13mm, a significant reduction. The lightweight Tray weighs 14g, while the assembled unit with velcro straps comes in at 18g. You can view my Gopro mount used in these pictures here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:602678 Overall, this custom battery holder has performed flawlessly for me on my quad. Here are the instructions I followed: I printed the Tray using red ABS plastic with a layer height of 0.25 and 30% fill. I attached it to the base of my sk450 quadcopter using cable ties – you can see that I drilled a hole in one side for easy attachment. Mounting my battery slightly off-centre provides clearance for my Gopro, which will be mounted at the front.
